Manchester URBIS Manga exhibition EVENT

Most of you already know about the current exhibition at the Manchester URBIS Centre - "How Manga Took over the World", running until 27th Sept 2008.

You can see quite a bit of my artwork up on display as part of the exhibition branding and signage (I designed their mascot Umeko), as well as in a couple of the displays themselves as examples of adaptations, and so on.

Well, I have a further announcement - this Saturday 28th June is the "Manga Maniacs Day" - there is a cosplay competition happening with the best photos being submitted into the exhibition, and I am one of the judges! An overall winner will get a full colour marker portrait of themself, done by yours truly, along with an exclusive anime screening in their cinema.

There will also be some talks about manga, anime and goodie bags! So come along if you can!

I wish I could get along and see this - it looks really well put together.
Wowwee, those look fantastic!! Vectorising those images definitely worked out for the best, it must be cool to see your artwork large and up close like that. Great work Sonia! ^_^
I'm trying to find a time to go up to see the exhibition!
