Tumblr account ^^

Yo, I've been thinking about this for a little while, and I've decided to switch over to a Tumblr blog ^^ My time is very limited these days so I prefer to post little and often, with lots of pictures and the odd bit of rambly text as needed. So, I'll be posting on there primarily now. Sonia Leong on Tumblr at http://sonia-leong.tumblr.com/ I will be using it very much like a blog/diary/MY thoughts place, so I will be keeping reader comments quite limited. You are quite welcome to follow me if you have a Tumblr account or want to, but I don't intend to follow people back - I prefer to chat with and keep up to date with people on Twitter or Facebook. As such, if you already follow me on Twitter or Facebook, don't worry, all my Tumblr posts will automatically feed through and cross post there. I will probably start bringing over some of my best posts from LJ onto my Tumblr, apologies if you've seen a few of them before. I will still keep my LJ account for the foreseeable future to make big announcements, follow others and comment ^^

Aya Takeo volume 2 now out! Buy it online ^^

For a bigger / closer view at the super sharp cover image, go here: http://fav.me/d48gd8x
It's been a long time coming, but finally volume 2 of Aya♥Takeo is out in print and available to buy from the Sweatdrop Studios online shop (paypal and credit cards accepted :3) It was launched at AyaCon 2011 in August.
Please spread the word and support this book, as I need to recoup funds in order to print the last and final volume 3. And everyone wants to have a series complete, right? Right? XD So yeah! Please buy it, particularly if you have volume 1 already and want to complete the set (as I'm hoping to get volume 3 printed around Christmas).
READ ONLINE HERE http://www.ayatakeo.com/
If you want me to sign it for you, you can always come along to London MCM Expo, 29-30 Oct; Doki Doki Manchester, 13 Nov; Malta Comic Con, 26-27 Nov or London Gaming Con, 3-4 Dec, I will be at those events!

Flyers for Birmingham ComiCon this weekend ^^

New promotional flyer designs for myself and for FujoFujo! The sheet is A6, so each section is A7. Something I’ve been thinking about doing as my business card with my phone number should be reserved for serious clients only, but I want the general public to be able to go to my websites etc. And of course, FujoFujo! needs something too. So I’ll do a few photocopies for the Birmingham ComiCon this weekend ^^

And yeah - I'll be at 2011 B.C. (Birmingham ComiCon) this weekend, come and say hi and hang with us or something!

This is how you do housework

Believe it or not, I wear whatever I want when I'm doing the laundry and vacuum-ing XD I often walk around half dressed in random stuff as I try things on to decide whether to keep them or sell/give them away. This pleases the husband greatly.

(In case you're curious, ASOS asymmetric drape dress, Swarovski watch, Prada glasses :3)

housework

I've been struggling to motivate myself with artwork because of being a bit ill, tired and surrounded by mess and half-done house DIY jobs. It's always a major pitfall for self-employed people who work from home! These past few months have been harder than most due to the bed bug problem around May-June which pretty much turned the house upside down T_T But I always feel so much better when I have CLEANED ALL THINGS.

Sorry for the delays with uploading FujoFujo! by the way, again life has been so tiring that I've not been able to build up a decent buffer, but I hope to rectify that soon.

Look at my clothes (you know you want to)

As something beautiful arrived in the post and I inevitably had to drop everything to try it on, I decided to document a few of my mainstream designer/high-end-high-street pieces (as my gothic/lolita wardrobe has been extensively photographed over the years already). This seriously, is just a selection XD I tried to pick pieces which I haven't been seen in yet/often. And no tights, no make-up, SORRY for being hideous. just look at the clothes, okay? XD

Anyway, ENJOY *goes back to work*

Some trivia about the pieces:
The Matthew Williamson is pretty damn new. It's from his 2011 spring/summer Escape range, like a Resort/Cruise collection.
Chanel suit OMG semi-vintage ('90s) just beautiful.
Pierre Cardin silk blouses - you'll notice one in black and one in white... it was one of those things where I loved it so much, I had to get it in both colours XD They have served me well, I've had them for around 15 years now!!!
Just Cavalli dress - this is a few years old, got second hand to match with my ASOS aqua feather cape. It's super sexy, I can't wear it as a dress on it's own as my pants will show XD
Vivienne Westwood Anglomania 2011 YUMYUMYUM!! The cut of this is FABULOUS, so nipped at waist, dramatic collar and over-sized buttons. I've really needed a dark formal suit jacket that is cropped (as the ones I have are either hip length, bolero or tailcoat style or light) so this was an essential.
Ted Baker dress - this was acquired last year, the chiffon frills/ruffles on the front bust area are lush, but not very visible in this photo.
Jeffrey Campbell - did I mention how much my sister and I love his shoes? Californian brand, you may have seen me in the SPIKED cage heels a few times XD
Prada Jacket - OMGGGG second hand but MINT condition, softest leather and TIMELESS. I can't believe the bargain I got.
Diesel high heeled trainers - THEY HAVE CHAINMAIL ON THEIR SIDES
Marc by Marc Jacobs tee - soooo cute and comfy :3
Not Your Daughter's Jeans - Extremely flattering and cut for WOMEN WITH CURVES (my waist is usually too small, or my hips/bum too big for standard cuts), I bought them in a size 6 to ensure the right amount of bruising from a new pair of jeans
